    ** USE CAUTION **

    I'm 2 and 0 with this trick...It's so easy.

Place the breaker bar on the ground ahead of the tire (Passenger side)...Drive forward to loosen...It doesn't take much at all.

Yeah, mucho caution. I'd say this has the potential for considerable mayhem from flying hardened steel shrapnel. Don't you have a cheater pipe?

    But I like it.:sneak:

    Looks like a Russian u-tube I saw onceā€¦.

    It could and probably has.

Seriously...You hardly have to move the vehicle...Maybe 3 inches...Probably less with a helper watching. The first time I saw it in real life was on my neighbors car. I hid in the bushes with binoculars.

Not really, but I did stand way back. It took us about 20min to build up the courage...He hardly moved the car and it just came lose...It doesn't POP...We laughed at how worried we were.

Well, if it did shatter at least inside the vehicle should be safer.

Pretty clever! I'm thinking a cheater pipe or floor jack under the end of the breaker bar would have less potential for excitement.:)

A 4 foot handle on a Snap-on 3/4" ratchet works pretty well too.

Reminds me of a number of "expedient" tricks, this being another.

A guy had to use an 8' pipe to bust loose his Ram's axle nut.

I used my floor jack to break free the hub bolts...I was more afraid of getting hit in the face by the ratchet since I had to be right near the jack.

A word of caution, a hi-lift jack is a lot cheaper than a radiator. Cut the log short enough that it won't hit the grill if you back up past the apex. I put a 6" fence post through the grille of my 2 ton when a hydraulic jack wouldn't function.

I cut a 2 foot long section of a post from a chain-link fence, has never let me down.
