Hi, does anyone have drawing/plans/schematic to build a roll bar? It is to fit a 62 CJ5.
    Thanks!

Prolly depends on where you want it to tie in. If you just want one that sits on the wheel wells, I can prolly get you height.

Wheel wells is what I intend to do. My roll bar is for safety on the road. My jeep will probably never see a hill. South Florida is as flat as you can get.

If you can't find a used one, check your local 4x4/Jeep bulletin boards and forums for Jeepers that make this sort of thing as a side business.

Anything up to 75 fits. Not hard to source. If you like a diy, checkout the Varq thread in builds and fabricators thread. ITLKSEZ is bending one up right now.

There was a guy, extreme custom fabrications, I think that sold pre bent kits for various jeeps

It wouldn't be a drop in fit, I'm pretty sure. How much modifying are you able to do?
The weld your own kits Greevesman posted might be a better option.

That thing is a mess. Looks like it was rolled, or just put together poorly.

I'd say keep your eye out for one on CL or the like...A few of them pop up every year around here - often in the $50 range. These are the single hoop ones that mount on the rear fenders. Of course, I went to look for some listed right now and there are none.

I have looked, believe me! South Florida (all of Florida for all it matters!) is not abundant with any CJs. It does not make any sense, specially since I still have a looong way to go before taking the jeep out, to drive three states over for a roll cage. Not even for a free one! I will keep on looking or if I can find a bender, I will fabricate one myself. I have done worse with less!

South Florida is a desert regarding early Jeeps. Everything down here is from the mid-1990's -up, mostly less than 10 years old. The new Jeeps are everywhere. Its rare to even find an old Wrangler in the U-pull yards.

Up here any Wrangler gets pulled immediately by the employees, if they even get to the yard. You never see em.
