    Hello,
I like to know if it is possible to combine the buick skylark steering pump on my V6 with a cj or wrangler or GM gearbox.

I can get an skylark pump with brackets and lines, and now searching for the right gearbox.

Like to have your advice on this.

    Thanks in advance

    regards
    Ewoud

The Buick pump is a gm pump so it will work with any auto Saginaw box, regardless of what it came from. You may have to change the gear box or pump hose fittings but that’s not a big deal.

The output on the pump can easily be changed between a flare fitting one and an o-ring fitting one. Just takes a 1" wrench to swap. Or get a flare fitting pre 1980 Saginaw box. I prefer the flare fitting over the o-ring type.

yes thanks, I now search for a o ring fitting to attache the hose to the box. Need new hoses as well , as these are to short. I found a local candy store with a lot of chevy parts. hmmm. When I have the fittings I already found a shop for gettting it on a preasure hose.

If u need hoses, have them made with correct ends, and skip the adapters.

I only see two copies of the same image.

If you have a GM pump that needs o-rings, the o-ring fitting should unscrew from the back of the pump to reveal a flare fitting.

You can probably use the hoses from a '72-75 CJ-5 with power steering.

Problem solved. Found chevy hoses, and used the fittings and had new hoses pressed on.
