I'd be interested in the parts as obviously I have the wrong one. If the part lends itself to 3d modelling that can happen too.
We can correspond backchannel (Fokker too).
I suppose a first step is to determine if there is a metal insert in the bakelite.
Can you see if there is by looking at the back of the knob?
I just noticed you're just on the other side of Robert Louis Stevenson state park from me.

Check my post #19. The flipper type knob is plastic with no inserts of any kind. It is not bakelte, just molded black plastic.

Completely missed your post, thank you for checking!
I messed around with the round knob I have and find it pretty difficult to figure out what speed it's on. THe fan does not make much noise and checking flow along the defrost outlet, it is barely noticeable. At speed I figure it may be impossible. Having an indicator will be most beneficial.

I'd be interested in several of the reproduced pieces depending on how they turn out. Please keep me/us in the loop on this. I appreciate everyone's efforts. This 3D printer thing is like Star trek stuff in my book. I dig ditches.

If someone can send me a solid model fine I could print them. ABS with a acetone smoothing would make them look original.

I've been corresponding with Greevesman and Focker. Kz400, I'll need to defer to someone that has the capability to scan and generate the files will talk with Focker about that next. It looks like we have a very helpful group here!
I think it would be great for anyone desiring these to participate in material and costs for producing them.I have no idea what i would run, perhaps you can pm me and we can discuss.
I seems like a good idea to have this part available, I'm very happy Greevesman had one and offered it to the cause.

Did anyone ever send Focker the correct flipper to try and reproduce? I can send mine if necessary.

That looks great. Can I pay you to do mine, or provide a set of the lettering? My panel is already painted, just need letters.

I just ordered a vinyl sticker, on EBay, that is white letters on black that completely covers the metal plate. Description says to heat the corners of the sticker and form it around the metal plate, use an exacto to cut the holes and slot.
It looks real good in the photo. Nice white letters, same font as original and nice shiny black background.
It's a buy it now for 5 bucks, or for us cheapskates, bid on it and maybe get it for less!
I'll let you all know when I get it and how well it works.

I think I would like to check into those. How are they listed on eBay?

No, but I kind of dropped the ball. Judging by the 3D printer's end result...It wouldn't look very good.

Edit - Wouldn't look very good.

Focker.... Interested. Mine has a crack in it, that I could probably fix but would be curious as to a replacement.

Those stickers are listed as:Willys Jeep wagon truck delivery CJ heater face plate decal.
I just looked and the buy it now price has been boosted from 5 to 10 bucks! Must be whatever the Market will bear!!
The vendor sent me a message asking for feedback once I get it. I'll of course mention the 100% price increase.
I had planned to buy several more if it worked good, but now not so sure.

I need to restore my faceplate also. Any tips on how to get the temp dial selector off? I have tried and stopped till I've got a better plan than pulling. If that is how, it is really tight.
