    those look great.

One thing I see when I have powdercoated (wheels) mine, is that in the deep crevices in the wheel, the PC tends to 'bridge' the gap. While my PC guy tries to minimize this, he warns about it and it happens, but it's a fabulous job none the less.

Wow, would I like to find a set of those. Even decent replicas.

Very nice. While not the same, for those looking for an old school 15x8 steel stock looking wheel, Wheel Vintiques makes some nice wheels. I like the set I bought.

That is exactly what happened with mine. Not sure I would do that again.

As with anything you are coating, the preparation is everything. I have had powder coating and paint both fail from poor preparation. I think anything that will need repaired say by welding (say frame) should be painted as it's a pain to get the powder coat off. It's easier to patch paint. I have used powder coating on small pieces such as hood hinges with good results after bead blasting.

I had a bunch of stuff powdercoated years back (bumpers, rollbars, chassis parts, etc). Some were done in gloss black, others in satin black. About a year later, all the satin black parts were getting rust bubbling up under the coating.
I took them back and showed the guy, and he told me the non-gloss finishes were somewhat pourus, and didn't hold up well in the weather. I was going to let him "bake off" the failing coating because it can be so tough to remove. He told me its way easier to just hit it with paint stripper. Powder coat just jumps off with good paint stripper!
By the way, those gloss parts are still near perfect years later.
