Probably need to adjust the jets.
It supprised me that it started right up, still would like to put the original back on though.

Terry, I have the stock Rochester 2G carb. If you put an add in the classifieds I'm sure someone will sell you one.
I haven't started mine yet. I will probably wait until I have the body and electrical in.
I took my carb to Rod's Carburetor on 27th Ave and McDowell, they did a really nice job rebuilding my carb ($100).
I believe he can get a rebuilt carb for the same price.

      Jonah:
Could you tell me what Carb you have on your engine,
I have a Dueljet 210 on mine and i am not sure if it's correct.
Any numbers would be great including the numbers on the tag.
I tried to start mine after a year and find out that the metering rods and float are corroded and stuck.
It looks like someone tried to rebuild it years ago and broke a piece of plastic in the bowl, got a kit for 40 bucks, but now i am not sure if this is the right one.
Have you started yours yet, mine wants to start but the gas isnt getting into the bowl.

Howdy from Chandler AZ, i to have 1966 cj5 with the V6, in the process of figuring out what to do next. Maybe we can hook up and talk and maybe help each other.
      Best regards
      Terry
