Other things you wight want to consider when positioning the driveline is the driveshaft angles as well as oilpan clearance to the front axle and front driveshaft. You will also need to make sure you have clearance to get a radiator fitted in front of the engine. If you keep your firewall clearance tight you should have room to get the rad in. Good luck with it and keep us posted. I am always happy to give advice. Good luck with it. Sorry I had to make multiple messages but this posting mode will only allow for 1000 characters in a message.

As for some advice for your project, when I did my engine mounts I just placed the engine in the engine compartment where I could fit it. I tried to center it in the frame as best as possible then made sure I had clearance to the firewall. I also made it as high in the chassis as I could while still clearing the hood and having the tranny clear the floor hump. If you have a carbureted engine, you will need to try to keep the carb base of the intake within about 3 degs of horizontal. Once I had everything where I wanted it I just made some temporary mounts that bolted to the engine and I tacked to the frame out of scrap steel. I put these in a location clear from where I wanted to build my engine mounts. That way the engine was locked into place where I wanted it and I built the engine mounts to fit between the engine and the frame. Once done I just took off the first pieces and cleaned up where the were once welded. It worked out quite well.

Good to hear you are still working on your project. These things can be slow progressing sometimes. My project seems to be slowing down as I am running out of money and time. I have a baby due in December (our first) so I am switching over to making a bedroom for a child and being a father. I hope to keep working on the Jeep here and there and getting it finished up over the next year or two.
