nice-- OBA is a great thing to have. I have a York on my rockcrawler. You can run air tools with it-- indispensable!

I got the 14B hubs cleaned up, they're off a Dana 70 and will narrow up the rear end 4 inches to match the front.

I'm going to sand blast and assemble the axles hopefully this weekend. Then I'm going to sand blast the Tranny/T-case and put all new seals in them. Then I'll have to save some money and over christmas break me and my friend are going to make a trip out to maryland to pick up a CJ so I can put my parts in it.

Got some steering arms for the D44, going to get the passenger side knuckle machined on saturday. I got the driver side spring perch tacked on in the right place too.

Anyone ever use a modified early bronco frame under a Jeep? From my research they are the same width and only 9 inches less wheelbase than a CJ6. It would be a lot easier to just stretch one for a CJ6 then stretch and box a weak CJ5 frame.

I may be able to get a sand blasted and primered bronco frame off my friend for a couple hundred bucks, I think it could work pretty good.

I need to get a pair of brake rotors then I can put it all together. I'm getting a clean 67 CJ6 in January to put all my chevy stuff in.

Here is the new platform, a 67 CJ6. The only rot is in the lower rear corners and rear valence. The floors, hat channels, and frame are clean and solid. It came with about 25 boxes of parts. The jeep has a 225 mated to a granny gear t18 and a Dana 18 with a Warn overdrive. I'm planning on saving the drivetrain out of it for a stock CJ5 and put the chevy parts in the 6.

    Pics at PO's house.

Today I pulled the fenders and stripped the firewall down, I would like to pull the tub off before the end of the week.

It has a power box mounted on the frame rail, they did a nice job with the bracket too. The steering shaft runs through the engine mounts. I'll have to make a new one for the J20 box and front stretch though.

The floors are solid, I haven't found any rust in the hat channels either. It seems like a really clean tub for the North East.

Here are the front leaf springs I'm going to use, they are a 5 leaf pack out of a 70s wagoneer from the junkyard. The offset center pin will give me some stretch in the front.

Did some more work on the CJ today. Floors are solid, frame looks rust free. There is some rot in one of the wheel wells, it's about a 1x1" area the needs patched, this tub will be easy to repair.

the hole, not bad really for a jeep in the north east

floors, that hole is where the batteries where located. I removed the box and the original piece of floor came with the jeep to weld back in, the jeep came with a NOS battery tray so I'll put the battery back on the firewall.

    removed the tub

I hope you know what you have with those Kenne Bell parts... My 310 + torque motor (have a dyno sheet somewhere with it over 300 hp as well) was built with alot of those Kenne Bell parts. They are not made anymore - if you want to move some, give me a shout.

FWIW - I just sent my rocker assembly to McRuff so we could try to reproduce them...

Oh - don't let Patrick close to the valve covers as they will go missing :D

Ok, I may sell some of the parts if I run out of money. I have stock valve covers on the engine, it also has a set of Kenne Bell fender well headers. I know the parts are rare and could make a real mean V6 with them, I would like to put them to use on a Dauntless.

I am planning on storing all the V6 stuff and drivetrain to put together a stock CJ5 to drive. This week I'm going to try to get the axles mocked up under the frame, Dana 44 and 14bolt.
