i just installed my hedman fenderwell headers on my 68 cj5 v6....everything fits great on the passenger side but on the driver side after i trimmed the section for the header to pass through and bolted it up i only have around a 1/2" of clearance between my collector and floorpan rib....i dont even have enough room to fit a muffler under there with the floorpan to collector clearance....does or has anyone had this problem? if so what do i need to do to correct it? header part# is hed-69420 whitch matches my application but iam am kind of in a pickle now.......thanks in advance for any and all info!!

How are your body mounts and hat channels? I'm wondering if the body is closer to the frame than it should be..
I have the same headers, and no issues.

yeh , my headmans were the same way ,,, I was not happy with the headman design , I fell into some discontinued Hooker supercomps and those fit great and exit closer to the frame out of the tire lines. maybe a small body lift would help ? have a picture?
edit : you could lower the trans cross member and that will change the angle of the collectors ALOT

My Hedmans have plenty of clearance, they have been on there since 1993. Heck my hat channels have almost totally collapsed and I still have room.

Mine were the same way. I heated them up at the elbow with a torch and a rosebud tip, and pulled it parrallel with the body. Just dont get the tip too close for to long, it'll burn through before you know it! AMHIK

I picked up a 225, it has the Headman headers on it like above. I would like to put them on my 225 I currently have in my Jeep. How much is involved with installing these? Any pics would be a great help.

I'm selling these when I get back to NM, too loud for my tastes. But, PO installed them, pretty clean install from the looks of it.
