i gots a trailer its a special budget build

i built the box for one purpose, heres a peak R)

gotta be able to haul the spair parts.
it will be a offroad camper someday, just enough room inside!

 

I like the curved front. Nice Job.

 

Thanks! the curve adds a lot of rigidity, it took some effort to convince 3/8" plywood to flex that much.

 

Some shots of my trailer from the recent Baja trip:

 

changed mine back to a spring under. But put 1" taller shackles on it. Tires a bit close the fenders but i dont haul a ton of weight mostly just firewood. Looks much better now and will be easier to load too

 

Not much of an action shot, but I carried home some precious cargo today.


A set of 4, now I need 1 more for a spare, and of corse I'll need some suitable tires.

Again, not much of "action shot" and it is a '77 Heep...but here is my late model CJ5 with my recently purchased 1953 M100 military trailer.

The trailer will soon get a restore/rebuild to match the CJ.

 

Im painting my '5 black!! Good lookin rig you got there. Also, a rookie question here. How do those little trialers pull while your wheelin'?

 

they follow along right behind you.......literally.
you have to pay a little bit more attention to the terrain, as backing up can be a problem, especially when going up hills.

 

I've been rolling the idea around since I got the jeep for a little trailer like that. I dont know all the info and numbers and models like you all do, but my cj5 dont have a lot of room inside for all the stuff, even with the back seat out.
