Say you find one FS, no glass in the top, no idea about the hard doors. Say the owner has OBO on it. What say you guys?

How much is it to get glass cut for it? Take that into cnsideration. No doors drops it even more. only worth what you are willing to pay. Prob not much market for a top with no glass or doors, low ball him and see what happens. Worst thing he can say is no!

I agree, it has the doors. I'll offer 100 and see what he says. I know I have a cage but it's prolly gonna be cut by me into a half cab... Shhhhhhhhhhh.

Why put on a hard top? they are a pain in the butt when you want the open top feel, and they are ugly. Why not just go with a soft top. I would run my cj3a in 10 degree weather with my soft top. I stayed warm enough. Now if it was a half cab top I would say go for it.

I'm a fan of the hardtops. Might be a good top to ad to the parts collection. I don't know if I have ever seen a set of flattie hard doors for sale though. I think there was just a flatty half cab on E-bay out your part of the country.

    Hardtops are cool
i had a buddy cut some lexan windows for mine so they flex instead of breaking in "tight" situations.
Don't ask me what i paid for mine. i hate to use the R word, but there aren't too many of these in Canada

There is a guy in Pueblo (town S of me) who custom made one out of AL Diamond plate that was just gorgeous. The best part was it fit a stock 3A WS and was shapped like a soft top. From a distance it looked like a shinny soft top and had the right lines to it.

He had doors with sliding windows, rear window just like the soft tops and lift gate. He even integrated little hooks in the top to take it off and on.

I got his phone number, but he moved in the year before I got back to him and have not been able to find him since. At the cost of a soft top, I would have paid 3X that for this one and not even batted an eye.
