    i have a 65 CJ6 and theres 2 tubes on the back. ive seen them on some jeeps and seen some jeeps that didnt have them.

    what were they for?

    Yes, soft top bow sockets on the outside of the tub. :)

    Interesting, got me to check the Mil parts books:
    The MB and 'A1's had folding interior bows but the M170 (CJ6-like ambulance) had the rear exterior bow sockets.

    Thanks for the insight. Mine has these, thought they were from an old tire carrier or something. Was going to cut them off.
