Any Buick 3.8L rear wheel drive will bolt right in, if you have an automatic trans.. If you have a manual you will need a flywheel for an even fire motor or have yours rebalanced.

I have more or less the same question. I'd like to replace the V6 in my 1970 Commando with a newer version that has both fuel injection and electronic ignition. Does anybody have any suggestions regarding which year donor cars I should be looking for? Also, I've heard that some Oldsmobiles and Pontiacs used the same engine. Any suggestions?

You'll dig up lots of fun stuff doing a search here on the forums - but the simple answer is there's no OEM Buick V6 / Rear Wheel Drive / Fuel Injection to be found.

Rebalanced to your new engine. Check the tech section, there's more than a few items there that pertain to the topics in this thread under the V6 portion.

Has anyone swapped in a 4.1 liter (252 CI) Buick V-6 into their Jeepster? Does it need a larger radiator? I am trying to locate a donor list of GM RWD cars that used this motor--most we early 80s. I know that I came across one on the web somwhere--now I cannot locate it. Thanks.
