I agree on AGM batteries. Not having the issue of free battery acid and the outgassing it produces is a huge plus. Also opens up mounting options.

 

because of the lack of offgassing I’ve also considered putting it under the passenger seat seeing as there’s plenty of room. I just don’t know if I want more holes for the cables to pass through in the floor

 

I'm another that will never put another regular lead-acid battery in anything. And I do really like Odyssey's-just outstanding service and life span. I installed a lithium ion battery in my RZR. The jury is still out as to function when using the winch. It was about a third of the weight of the original for the same amp hours.

 

The Odyssey is a great battery. Got mine at Summit. Stay away from the Optima, they have a terrible track record recently.

 

I have also heard that the Optima took a nose dive in quality recently. The Odyssey still has good reviews. Nice not worrying about battery acid eating away at your metal.
