Wait till you turn them on. Talk about a potential finger breaker........
I assume you have the stock plastic cover?

I don't know what it is about gas tanks, but I find them to be a pain in the buttocks! However, my weird looking jack really helped save my back and test fitting!

I found out very quickly that it's just best to lift the body back up (no biggy).

I'm telling you, this thing fits perfectly!~ little clearance.

After cleaning it up and painting it, I used some old radiator hose to make buffers which are pressed upon the underneath of the bed. Then I tested my fuel sender, rewired it, soldered and adequate length of wire for future wiring.

I'm very pleased with the turn out, fits great and looks great! I'm not done with the exhaust, it's just hanging there by tie downs.

    Awesome~!

I'm running out of time this week as we're leaving for Philly to see our middle daughter, but I'm not a traveling person, I'm a home body and will miss my garage:(

Looks great. As always your work awes and inspires me.
I saw the attached beauty at the local Home Depot on my way in. I talked to the guy for a few on the way out. All original 1969 except for a small lift, tires, wheels and drivers front fender.

I am so amazed how quickly time goes by:( I can't put a happy smiley after that sentence.
However, we had a good time in Philly, but like Dorothy said, 'there's no place like home" and the truth.

I had started working on the hard top thinking I might could save it, but it's past saving which prompted me to start looking. Most hard tops were about 3-4 hours away and for some reason the seller didn't respond, "oh, I'll get you those pics!" they'd say and no word.

On the classic bronco forum, I fellow Bronco're told me of a hard top about an hour away~ so I pursued it and wound up buying it yesterday along with front and rear Duffy bumper which will clean up very well! another thing out of the way(Thank goodness).

Yesterday, drove about an hour west of us to buy the New to me hard top. I paid 800 and he also had front and rear bumpers (duff brand) for an additional 200. I feel I got a pretty good deal, plus didn't have to drive very far!! If I'd repeated myself, you know how it is;)

Here, next to my daddy's tractor, which most of you chimed in on its build, I can easily store the hard top. I use the tractor mainly for moving my 14' trailer from time to time, other than that, I just like looking at it, imagining my Dad plowing his garden a long time ago;)

Of course it has its blemishes, but I can fix those things!

Did I say I love my rotisserie? ;) After this, I'll restore it and prepare it for what ever is next.

I won't be having this top sand blasted, I may spot blast here on areas like this.

I'm pleased that the lift gate is in good condition! I have all the glass too.

I'm not a whimp, but it's been incredibly hot which really slows me down. I'm placing on order for upholstery and some other things which I can do in my AC area. Why work in misery? ;)

    I'm glad to be back!!!

    Just curious,
Have you thought about a soft top? Either with the metal doors or soft doors/doorless with inserts.
Makes going topless a lot easier.

Oh yes, it crossed my mind and looked into it, but I just like the hard top look and besides, I hate my hair being blown all over! lol Once installed, it will never come off as long as I own it~ it will have AC, so that should be nice and comfy;)

Here are the bumpers I got from the same seller of the hard top. I didn't post earlier as they weren't "posed" ;) I'll clean em up and repaint. These are Duffy brand and both go for well over a thousand bucks! 200 bucks for both!! omg

Not shown, but the rear bumper had a welded on tire rack which the PO said was underpar and not to use it, so I took a couple hours in removing the welds, still have some patching to do on it.

ok, heading out to see our 14y/0 grandaughter sing a couple songs, kind of a big thing and she's quite nervous. a couple hour drive

I know I haven't been terribly busy with this Bronco, having some back issues, flares up now and then, just have to take it a little slower.

However, got the rear bumper on, painted, I'm so pleased with the simplest of things;) I ran out of paint from the front, just can't install it until the fenders/grill are on~ that's few weeks away.

The exhaust is just kind of hanging by tie downs, I need to get some hangars, not coat hangars! lol

Thinking about a flexible fender moulding, not this one, I just googled it for conversation;) KInd of to break up the green a tad.

Wow, now that you mention this, I can see what you're talking about! I found some wiper motors, that don't have all the linkage, forget where, but I'll probably go with those when I get around to it. But thank you for the warning!! ;)

I think that fender molding would do wonders to break up that green. Keep up the good work!

    Hope your back feels better!

There are a couple of options.
The factory cover, which supports the visors as well. Works great till you pop the top (not an issue for you).
Single motor conversions, which are usually regulated to replacing the vacuum setups in the earlier models.
Aftermarket wiper assemblies and covers, some which differ in design.

Be aware that there is a "bolt on" wiper delay available. Something to think about before you install the dash wiring. They work for the 76 and later CJ's as well ( say thank you Ford).
