Recently got a 75' CJ-5 that was converted to disc brake up front. The only thing I know is that the parts where from an older CJ.

I'm trying to restore it, starting with the brake system. Need new pads, and the brake lines that go from the master to the proportioning valve.

I was told that the brake booster is also from an older CJ since it didn't came with one.

What should I search for to look for this parts?

Is the picture what you think is a booster? That's a combination valve. It's covered in the TSM. Look at the description for the larger Jeeps that came with disk brakes.

The booster for these Jeeps is on the firewall. There are no older CJ Jeeps that had power brakes; they were first offered in 1972 and the '72 is the same part as a '75 would have.

Your brakes look like CJ 76-78 " big brake" version. Most of us make our own lines using nicopp line. If you are not into that Inline Tube makes nice pieces.

Yep 76-78 disc's and I would also just remake the lines going to your proportioning valve. Most autozones carry straight line in different lengths that bend up easy enough by hand to get you what you need. And it'll be a lot cheaper than a new set of pre made lines that may honestly not even fit in your application. I did this same disc setup on my 72 years ago and just used off the shelf straight lines from a auto parts store. My Prop valve was on the outside of the frame though because of inside the frame rail headers.

Oh, I know. I don't have any picture of the booster because the body is out of the frame for now.

The picture was just to show what I was looking for, (the brake lines that go from the master to the valve.

Ok so when looking for the pads online its showing "6 bolt" for 76-78 and then the "2 bolt" for 78-81. I should choose the 6 bolt 76-78 right?

I should think of moving it because eventually I want in frame headers to the back.

6-bolt or 2-bolt is the number of bolts holding the brake caliper bracket to the hub. Look at the back of the hub.

If the booster came from the same Jeep as the disks, this is a newer Jeep than '75, not older.

Original equipment boosters that came on the '72-75 models are only available as remanufacture of the booster you have now. There are no cores. If it's a '75 part, you'd send what you have to a shop for repair, and get back the same part. There are shops that do this for classic cars; maybe there's a shop in PR.

If it's a '76-78 booster, these are currently available rebuilt/exchange:

Your local parts store can probably get one. If they are helpful/friendly, they might order one for you to compare on the parts counter, before you buy.

    I'm 100% sure it didn't came stock.

and VIN number matches '75 so it had to be a conversion

hmm the frame on mine doesn't look boxed up like yours. was this done on purpose?

I initially had the proportioning valve on the inside. It cleared the inside the frame rail headers but on long meandering trails the heat boiled the tar out of the valve. Especially in Moab where it was hot as frig. We moved it to the outside and it was fine. Even when I toyed with outside the frame headers and side pipes it never bothered it.

Yes. If you have custom exhaust tubes / headers going down your inside frame rails, do like drst4 suggests & install it on the outside. I used custom braided brake lines. You can get steel lines at various lengths ......you'll just need to get a flaring tool , a hand bending tool , & assorted fittings . This is the cheaper way to go.
Rock Auto is pretty good for this stuff . A 1975 TSM would serve you well , for reference.
