Wow that’s not bad priced, and not too gaudy. Nice find

Diff guards installed. They give you longer Allen head bolts but I was able to use the originals.

My rear bumper showed up today. Rough Country Jeep Classic Rear Bumper w/Tire Carrier 87-06 Wrangler YJ/TJ | eBay
I liked this one because it is full width. I found it on an Ebay store. I ordered it on Weds and it showed up today! Same price as the big guys. One place wanted $40 handling and another was 30 days out on shipping! I am heading to Clear Creek with my son tomorrow so I probably wont get this mounted until next week.

Finally got the rear bumper and tire carrier on. Took about 5 hours total. They forget to tell you that you have to drop the rear gas tank a bit to get the bolts through the new holes that are drilled. Other than that it went pretty good. Pics coming later.

That was an experience. Installed all but the inner 4 bolts Christmas Day, then dropped the tank last night to get the final 4 bolts in. Disconnecting and reconnecting the filler hose was the the most annoying part.

I was able to get the passenger side without dropping the tank. I only had to drop it a few inches for the driver side but I ran the bolts from the inside out. Of course some quick work with the high speed took care of the bolt length. I also removed the license plate mount placed it directly on the body. My biggest issue was the tire carrier latch alignment. It was way too high and I had to put a decent size spacer under the catch.
Hope to get some pictures later today.

Pics of the rear bumper. I like that it is full width and the latch is beefy. Tire carrier is built well also!
Oops, I guess I should have whited out my license!

My goofy bumper had tapped plates so I had to run bolts straight in towards the rear. I loosened the tank on Christmas but this time I dropped the tank about 6” to get them in. I was looking hard at that bumper but this one was very inexpensive on Black Friday

Just read your post. Nice Jeep and your making good progress on the upgrades. I had a JK and now my CJ, both with manual trans. Most of the guys I wheel with have transitioned to JKs with automatics. They sure are smooth over the rocks with them. I can see the allure.

I had been thinking I needed some diff sliders after hanging my diffs multiple times recently out on the trails. Haven't done any research but like the ones you got. Thanks for the link. I ordered from the link you provided before reading the next page of the thread, so we'll see how quickly they come in from Rugged Ridge site.

FWIW, on my JK I used coil spring spacers to allow 35s to be mounted. They worked pretty good and are extremely inexpensive compared to a full lift. They're cheap enough you don't feel bad pulling them off if you get new springs. Ride was the same as pre-spacers.

    Hi Tim
Any pics of ride height from the side with the spacers?

Rock sliders showed up Thursday. Look to be well made. Now I need to find time for paint and installation. Pics to follow.
