    Today update

I'm about finishing the wiring for the 5.3 engine.

Since i'm using a th350 transmission i dont need to use the transmission group of wiring within the painless. Si i just strapp it down with between the engine group dans the computer connector.

The final routing under the dash is done. Engine computer will have a good hiding place.

    141287772_690411404989882_122940255085648305_n.jpg

Hardest part was to pass all the wiring from inside the cabin to the engine bay. Painless provide a 1 5/8" od grommet with a 1" ID. Since i have loom all the engine side wiring it doesnt go with their grommet. I endend drilling a 1 3/4" hole and use the the another grommet that i have.

Nice job! There certainly a bunch of wires. My son had trouble getting everything under the dash when he built his 1968 Nova. Looking forward to when you get it running.

i've kinda been here off and on, didn't realize you were using a 5.3. it's an amizing engine, seems a little overpowered for a jeep, as opposed to a pickup or suburban.

Totally agree with what you said.

My decision wasnt about power but more about cost and mpg’s over my blow up 360.

this swap is pretty straitforward, you just need to take you’re time figuring things out.

I’ve upgraded front and rear axle so they should hold up to this power....i hope so ahah

Mine suppose to have 100k miles on it. I have bought from a reputed junkyard allready professionnaly taken out the car (avalanches 2002). I have a three month warranty from the day i start it up.

i asked 2 machine shop if a basic rebuilt should be done and they told me to try it out first and if no problem doesnt need to bother.

Been working on final assembly of the drive train yesterday.

Had some hard time fiting the transmission cover. I had put it before without the torque and flexplate and it was a nice fit.

With the flex plate in i don't know why it doest wanted to take place.

I have to use my die grinder to trim a little

    141694202_226054069005810_2303004011358394546_n.jpg

Engine and transmission is final bolted together

Just need to put the seal between transfert case adapter and transmission and i will have a complete powertrain ready for action
