I got these air line units in a box of air line and compressor parts at a yard sale. Anyone know what they are used for? I do not think they are filters or dryers because there are no filters inside the bowls. They are quite greasy or oily on the inside and outside. Maybe some type of in line air tool oiling device. the center knob is probably a pressure regulator???? IMG_1247.JPG IMG_1248.JPG

Don't use an oiler if you plan to paint with your air compressor. Instead add oil to your tool.

I thought this was the support for the V6 battery tray, but it's too short by a couple inches and has the wrong angle.
Just about 13" long and likely off a '67 V6. Ideas?

There are two battery braces. At 13" it looks like the passenger side one that attaches to one of the fender bolts.

Picture from my Jeep lookin up at the bottom of the tray and the back side of the fender skin:

The longer brace goes on the driver's side of the tray and connects to the body brace near the frame:

What years your Jeep and is that a new battery tray? Mines toast, and needs a new one. Need one for a 66

Mine's a late '68 titled as a '69. That's the original tray I took out, cleaned up, and repainted a while back. It's got a small rust hole in one corner, but is good enough to keep using.

I did switch to a sealed AGM battery so I don't have to deal with battery area corrosion ever again.

JEEP WISDOM NEEDED. WHATS THAT SOUND?

so after listening to that video what do you think it could be?
When idling no rattle is heard.
In reverse no rattle is heard.
In first gear it’s very faint you almost don’t hear it.
In second gear you start to hear the tapping.
In third gear do you really hear it vibrating.
When coasting in gear the sound quiets even in 3rd gear.
Every time I step on the throttle the sound comes back.
The sound gets louder as the MPH goes up.

The front driveshaft has play in it, but since it’s in 2 wheel drive doesn’t it spin freely? Or do you think that would still spin even though it’s not engaged?
