What exactly did you use. I keep thinking about a swap but my Pentronix is working perfectly. I get stressed out thinking of changing things that work, even for something better.

Used the Jeep to run the dogs around the harvested pastures. Gotta wear them out every day. With border collies, it ain't easy.

Tore the CJ carb down this morning. Cleaned up the main body and have the rest of the parts standing by for carb dip when i get home today. Goal this evening is to have that put back together and get started on the transmission.

The new oil pan gasket stopped the pesky drip. Played with timing light and vac gauge a few more minutes. I'm really pleased with how it runs now. Revs up clean, no backfire on the let off. Plugs look great. If I wanted to snivel it advances just a smidgen slow. I'll let it be though. Should have turned the radio down but whatever...

Almost sounds like there's a blow off valve in there.

I push a mouse all day, supporting an engineering group as a Project Manager in a big company.

Took some time out to install 3 of my new additions, though. :)

As a member of an engineering group...
can you get that picture larger, I can't make out if that's a 15 or 16" wheel.

haha! are they small on your end? they look normal-sized on my screen. They're 16x5's, except for the spare. That one's a 16x4.5.

Oh no... I called the IT department, and after 3 meetings we determined I just had to put my glasses on and rotate the screen to landscape. Looks like you could air them down a little and throw some dirt on them.(y)

    Looks nice.
Get the rear tire on, tidy up a bit and shoot that picture again (without your reflection in the bumper) and that could be a great ECJ5 calendar picture (y)

I have been concerned about the steering shaft installation on my advance adapters Saginaw conversion kit. The way it is designed the weight of the double D shaft extension puts a downward load on the box's input shaft. So I ordered a 1" rod end on Amazon , and welded up a bracket to hold it. The bracket mounts to 2 holes already in the frame from the factory. One hole is a 3/8" clearance hole, the other has a 5/16-24 UNF weld nut inside the frame. These holes have never been used, and the were in the perfect place.

The shaft is now very well supported and rotates freely.

I added a brake proportioning valve ( turns out what I thought was a proportioning valve was a distribution block ). Split my front lines into individual runs getting rid of the pesky t fitting. Love my new Summit flaring tool. 9 flares, not a single drip anywhere. Turned my well behaved 390 Holley into a TA carb. Added spring loaded bowl seats and a home fabbed bowl crossover vent.

Which one? I’m not entirely happy with my flare tool.

My only gripe, the bolts holding the halves together are 10mm. Your flaring 3/16, got the 3/8 wrench out...

Makes awesome flares though. Futzed with those traditional multi size tools, always had inconsistent flares. Tubing makes a difference too. Strictly nicopp now.

Drove around the property picking fruit off the wild trees.

Well.... I Ordered front and rear drive shafts for the cj5 into a cj6 project last night ,cv shaft style for the rear. Standard style for the front.. That turned into "Hey these brake lines need redoing in the rear" .....at 9pm at night. 2am I crawled into bed.. Pulled the headers off this morning in hopes to clean them up and re paint them. That turned into..."Hey the engine could use a repaint" So I get to wire wheel that mess tomorrow. After that this morning I Went down stairs and loaded 500 rds of 9mm to get a break from the jeep.....
