Heater Core Pump And Manifold Placement

Does anyone know which hose goes where?

 

What do you mean? One end goes to the fitting on the manifold and one to the water pump.

 

Are you asking if it matters witch direction the coolant flows thru the heater coil? Not absolutely sure but I don't think it matter either way.

 

Yes, does it matter weather or not the hose from water pump goes to the driver side or the passenger side of the heater core, I know dumb question but it is a Jeep?

 

Air rises so witch ever is higher should bo on the outlet side of the core . I never paid attention and haven’t had any air.

 

So higher one to pump or manifold?

 

According to this... It would appear that the firewall side would go back to the rear of the manifold or the manifold side and the front to the water pump? My heater core is identical to the one in the parts catalog pic below.

 

I think water flows out of the pump into the heater core, if I think of it in the am I’ll feel hoses to see. I am old and kinda scattered

On my '72 the WP goes to the left connection look at it from the front and the right one goes to the manifold
