Building a new shed to replace the old one. We have a 8 x 10 now, was going to up size to a 8 x 12. We are now building a 10 x 16. The yard falls off where we are putting it, so I poured some piers for it to sit on. Got the floor system built. Used 3 5/8 inch, 16 gauge metal studs, 16 inches on center. It has been raining so much here, don't know when I will be able to start framing.

I'm impressed you got your concrete pier tops level enough to build right on top of them. Nice job.

I've never used metal studs but have thought about it often. Would weight be a problem over a 10' span?

Using 16 gauge which are pretty stout. Once plywood is on floor, this will spread the weight out. It is just for lawn mowers and lawn stuff. Should not be that much heavy stuff, if it is heavy will put close to exterior walls.

Got the plywood floor down, covered it up with plastic, since it will be raining a few days this week. I can now make the trusses for the roof. Will build a template on the floor and then nail the trusses together.

Made the trusses for the roof. Finally got some good weather, stood up some walls. Put the siding on the rear wall.

Got the trusses set. Used some fasteners my wife got cheap. Was a neat, easy install.

Got the shed done, poured the apron today. All I have to do is move stuff from the old shed to the new one
