I've got to have pictures, just looking a possible things I can duplicate. I plan this not to be my last "restoration", so a rotisserie would be nice to have.

This one is a plan on ebay/amazon, but I don't think I would need the hydraulics, just adds to the cost. I have a crane, however, when I was at the steel store, I couldn't figure out where they hide pipe to make the rotisserie rotisserate;) I may go there tomorrow and pick the countermans brain and show him what I want to make. It doesn't show wheels, but they are readily available at Northern tools and Hf, and other stores I'm sure.

I do like the large wheels!

This is one I put together with HF engine stands, worked great, sold it:(

That's pretty neat Durk! and Chuck, I would like to see your plans?? In the long run, I would like a rotisserie that I can use for other projects. So even a store bought one isn't out of the question;) I've really enjoyed the jeep stuff and could see maybe a couple more~ don't know. But, the seller of the one I'm getting may get here in a few days;) I'm rather excited! ;)

Hi Jessie, if you're referring to the pic a few posts back? that was my triumph TR6 project with a miata 1.8 engine/trans transplant. However, from a distance the frame looks neat. Below is the best pic I could find of the TR6 frame. All other pics were on our computer at the flooded home~ lost a bunch.

Re-installing the body of the TR6 onto its frame:)

Yes, it's IRS and yes, the little TR6 is quite narrow, don't know the width right off hand, just looked it up, outside to outside of the front wheels is 58". I have no idea what the jeep is. Can't wait to see your build, let me know I can sign on!!;)

This is a jegs, and I know it needs some attachments, but it could be a candidate rotisserie. OF course letting Gary know that I'd like it is another thing~ but I'm special, and anything to do to make retirement years more safe and fun would be worth it;)

Jesse, the IFS is from my 71 Triumph TR6, it's the the stock suspension, but cleaned up and installed new bushings. What's on your mind?

This blog shows the front suspension much better in the first pic

Curtis, the seller, delivered the '68 as promised yesterday morning bright n early. Curtis is an incredibly nice guy! It's a pleasure to meet him and talk to him like a best friend!;) He drove it into my shop where it rests now, but soon to be revived;)

The auxillary gas tank fits perfectly between the back bumper and axle, my thoughts were to toss it, but it's done pretty well, maybe I could drop it a few inches and put a tiny trap door to access the filler.

When Curtis pulled it into the shop, it was running on an very high idle, I thought I'll get it running well enough to check out the transmission, and transfer case.

The dash is pretty busy and I may look for another metal dash. One of the push/pulls is for the auxillary gas tank.

Curtis explained to me, that the PO had a makeshift cab on it which he says may account for a more rust free floor.

The fender flares, this is the worst, look factory as they fit too well. I think I'll keep those for sure;)

The saginaw gear? looks to be OK, works well, might pretty it up with a better bracketry, but it's Ok right now, just need to investigate a better mounting.

Gary is bugging me to take my time, but darn, I know how these things go together now and know I can zip it apart quickly, OK OK, I'll take my time;)

oK, starters, a nice day indeed, rolled the poor little jeep outside for a cleaning with the 11hp pressure washer~ it was a nasty jeep!
Though not shown, most of you have seen when I raised my brothers jeeps *** end way high to clean, my camera of course died when I needed it the most:(
    [IMG]

I was a little un-thrilled by the vector taken by the steering shaft, but it works~ I'll know more when I get the tub off.

Now that I know how to get a jeep apart, this if FUN!

I got this left front drum off with a quick wack from my larger selection of hammers, popped right off, but the others didn't budge(depressed me), so I soaked the lugs n such with WD hoping more happens with those.

As usual, there's some glued on crap that my pressure washer would not phase!, but I'm liking the engine!

I should have the tub off tomorrow for a much better look! stay tuned;)

Any suggestions as I gallop along are always welcomed!!!
