V8 Cj5 How Bad.

    That looks like a great spot for it out of the way.
    Did you just lengthen the rods to make it work?

    Yes. I cut both ends off of the shift linkages and welded them to new longer section.

    Here you can kinda see how low and rearward I moved the shifter.

    You can see the before and after location on page 2. As I said before, I highly recommend driving your jeep for a while before modifying. Like I mean use it as is for a year, as long as there aren't safety concerns, then start making plans for mods.

    That sounds like a good plan, get it safe and enjoy sounds like a good deal for me.
