    It's a fine warm San Diego blended air with just a hint of Bainbridge Island air. I believe a 97 points... :clap:

    I got the fenders trimmed to fit the spring re-do, shocks and sway bar. This should be around the finished ride height up front. Rear will drop a little with the cage, fuel tank, etc,...

    Here's a side shot where you can see the clearances around the hood. Spreader bar above the radiator is next. I had to mount the fenders and grill to know exactly where to put it.

    I had a few minutes this morning...
    I got the grill hoop bent and ready to cut/cope. I'll post up some tube bending process pics. I usually forget to take pics of these steps.

    I start every bend with a 90° cheater bend. It's just a 22" section of tubing that was bent to 90° and has a mark where the bender's holding shoe begins. This mark is my constant.

    I clamped my cheater in place where I want my final bar to rest. I held a stick from the outer edges of the cheater and where I want my cope to be, and I measure that angle. This one is 50°.

    I made a mark on the grill for my constant, then I did the same for the other side. I can then measure the space between the constants (5 1/8") and add 22" to each side, because that's about how much tubing I need to make a bend without it getting sucked into the trailing shoe.

    I cut a section of tubing at 48", marked center, then marked 2 5/8" off to each side. I chucked the tubing in the bender and bent 50° off from each constant mark.

    Looking straight down...
    It should drop in there nicely.

    Amazing work/art. I can’t even make a straight cut much less all these complex bends/angles. Very impressive.

    Coping tubing is usually a practice of patience. Cut it long, sneak up on it, check it, sneak up on it some more, check again, sneak up on it some more, repeat 100 times, then BAM! Went too far. :lol:

    I did this one a little differently. Not sure if it's a common way, but it worked for me. I took a piece of scrap, held it in place, and I used a compass to scribe around it like I would for a wood project.

    I did this to both ends of the scrap, coped them, and marked them DS and PS. I then cut my bent tube to a length I guesstimated would be close, and rolled the DS cope around the PS of the tube marking along the way, them swapped sides and repeated. By using the opposite pieces to mark with, this made a mirror image transfer onto the correct side of the tube.

    I had to repeat it a few times because I cut the length of my piece a bit conservatively; I didn't want to do this one over again. But overall it went pretty smoothly.

    Here it's propped in place, spaced 3/4" away from the inside face of the grill.
