At some point when i have time, I'll try to fix the pics. In the meantime, here are the new decals in place.

Here is a pic of the finished product. Leaving for the 1000+ mile Oregon trip on Wednesday, which has been the goal since I went all out to complete this. Time to find out if It will make it. Everything Ive done test driving is positive. Alson hauling my kayak trailer to get in some fishing and crabbing.

I had it printed from an original. The printer cleaned up the appearance and printed it on waterproof auto decal paper. Sticky back, not water transfer.

Mine did work. I disassembled it, cleaned, derusted, painted and reassembled. It took a bit to get it readjusted correctly, but now it makes a good moo. The lever activates the electrical coil for the horn and distorts the diaphrgm to alter the sound to make the moo.

Ok thanks. Couple more questions, do you run it off 12 volts? If it isn't too much trouble could you either post or PM me some photos of how you have the lever and cord etc mounted and positioned? Thank you!

Mine is 6 volt, not sure how to tell if 6 or 12 v. The cable mounts to the horn itself hopefully pic helps. There is a cable clamp on the horn, uses standard choke type cable. Has a T-handle on the dash.

I've been to a couple of car shows and encourage kids to get in and get pics. Show them all how the Kattle Kaller horn works and they love it. Kinda iritates the snobbish car show guys. Jeeps are supposed to be FUN!!

Ok you mean your jeep is 6 volt? I think all these horns were originally made for 6 volt but my jeep is 12 volt. Curious if that will affect the sound much. Thanks for the photos!

The jeep is 6 volt. I think they made 12 V versions. They were available through JC Whitney a few years ago, might still be, but probably a chinese knock-off

Got a package from Herm this week with his pto adapter and all the shift linkage. Overdrive going in. 45 mph all way to Oregon isn't happening again! Also would be nice to be able to split 2nd and 3rd gear with the overdrive. I'll update as it progresses.

Here's what happens to a newly restored Jeep in a wildfire! I lived (Past Tense) in Paradise California. Home and shop where jeep was parked was a lotal loss. Got so hot the windshield melted and the springs relaxed to a reverse curve. Insurance was good to me (get Hagerty!) Soon to be joining the Quiters Club.
