Just sprung a leak in the radiator of our trusty 2007 JK with 3.8 V6. This Jeep is going to get an LS 6.0 transplant in the near future. I would like to not buy two radiators. I call upon the collective knowledge here to help me decide on a stock replacement that can support an LS swap in the future. Don't worry about inlet location, I'll swap a water pump if needed to get the configuration. Primary concern is core.

    Something like this?
    3 Row Aluminum Radiator & shroud fan for 2007 08 09 10 11 12 13 Jeep Wrangler JK 3182610486140 | eBay

There is a metric sheet ton of aftermarket choices out there, predominantly Chinese imports. Anyone have had better luck with some of those choices than others?

    Thanks.

I had a 2008 JK with the 3.8 and a Chevy 2500 with the 6.0, sounds like an excellent upgrade. I will be interested to follow along if you do a build thread.

I was actually in OK City this weekend.

All about Horsepower / BTU's........and the space to dissipate that heat.............including whether or not you have AC and auto transmission,.......obviously sq.ins. of area and airflow play a major part , more so than thickness..........I would take a long look at that and perhaps call some of the aftermarket professionals in that area..............like Griffin who builds a nice product..........bottom line your doing the right thing by planning ahead and not wanting to buy two radiators.

I picked 6.0 for the durability and diesel-like torque, but also for the 6L90E that comes behind them.

Searched all over Griffin's site, couldn't find what I was looking for. Going to keep poking around, but I think I'm getting close. Stock 6.0 is in the 365-385hp range depending on model. I've got about 22" x 19" max surface area with plenty of depth for 2 or 3 row and fan.

We use a hemi in our conversions....and the radiator is $1200.00. Probably better, cheaper options out there considering what he's doing.. Our's is a double pass cross flow. I can get measurements if you want them.
