Dirty sockets can be trouble too. Wiggle the bulb while the power is being fed to the socket.

I will check the ground again when I get home tonight. I connected the front lights with a single ground which runs the busbar. But I will double check.

Unfortunately if this is the case then it’s a problem with the manufacturing of the socket as I’m using the factory harness/plugs which as you know only fit one way. However, that’s where my comment earlier stemmed from about quality as I have read others had to rewire new sockets because they were backwards from crown. Thank you guys for all the support. I’ll update more when I get home.

i agree, not too long ago i spent a bunch of time chasing a gremlin on a BMW motorcycles blinkers, both sides would randomly blink fast, not blink, blink normal, etc turned out even though the sockets looked good there was an internal issue with ground on all four that acted up at random.

Ok I looked at the wiring and the ground that I had is actually for the headlights. So dumb question...how to I actually ground the park lights? Do I just run a wiring from the mounting bolt on the grill? Also, with the crown lights, what is the blue wire for?(there’s red/black/blue wires coming off the harness)

The crown light I saw shows only the red and black going into the light. The blue wire connects to the red wire at the outside plug. It doesn't show the back of the light.

Ok so nearly all the gremlins have been solved...nearly. Turns out the drivers front crown signal was wired backwards hence the filaments lighting opposite the passenger side. Thanks Walt for telling me which filament was which. Then I have the rear tail light wired backwards. That solved all the issues with the taillights and signals. But I’ve come back full circle to the hazard switch which when pulled does nothing until I activate a turn signal. Also, when I depress the brakes, the front markers turns on (or off if the headlights are on). Still stumped but happy that I figured (with your help) all the other issues.

Glad you got that much working. Will have to give the other problem more thought.

The great hazard light mystery has been solved! Turns out there was a bad connection for the hazard fuse and although the fuse wasn’t blown it was not making good contact at both ends. Now everything works like it should. Thank you for everyone who helped. Couldn’t have done it without you guys!
