So I planned on spending a rainy Sunday just relaxing ........ after 4 1/2 minutes of that I went in the shop and plugged that hole that's been bothering me

Turned off the lights and used this LED light under the weld to see if I missed anything

Some grinding and a little paint

I've never been able to name my cars (nothing ever feels right... I over think it), but I think you should call this one "Patches" or "Patch"...or...Something to that effect.

A bunch of little tack welds till it's all welded causes less trouble. But otherwise looking good

Interesting. The factory service manual has the return line in the sending unit

I spent some time looking thru some old pics and this is the only one I can find showing the tank, yes that handsome driver is me circa early 80s, zooming in it appears I have the same setup, you can see the sender and what appears to be the return line fitting, although the sending unit looks closer to the filler tube than yours

Metal-to Rubber-to Nylon. The rubber merely couples the metal with the nylon fuel lines.

I hate to go off topic, but did you notice if your rear differential had a vent? I know the older models had a pinhole vent in the axle tube, but I can't see to locate one on mine.

It was a good yr business wise so I ordered all the parts to rebuild my tub from classic ent. Parts are trickling in
And seem to be of good quality.
My biggest challenges are going to be finding/building a transmission tunnel and since I don't have an original tub to measure off of, trying to figure out where all the parts get spot welded. Fun times coming
