While looking for cool stuff for my other Jeeps, I found a CJ3B. Made a low offer and after several weeks the seller accepted it. I had actually forgotten about it but I went through with it anyway. Not sure what I am going to do with it but it did need a new home. Also the two back rims look a lot like the KH 15x8's. More to follow.

Well, at least you showed pity on it. That was good of you to do so. :)

So I played around with it yesterday. Threw on the parts that were loose. Was happy to find that two of the wheels really were the Kelsey ayes Renegade 1 wheels.
One of them was like new inside with the sticker and grease pencil showing the KH part number. The other was full of water and needs some love. The engine looks like a 225 V6. Fairly intact but stored with no air cleaner so the seam in the hood probably dripped water down the carb for the last 30 years. Engine only moves a few degrees either way before stopping. I am sure it will be rust on some of the cylinder walls. The oil doesn't show any water in it but I am not sure if it would show on the dipstick anyway as it may be just floating on the oil.

So now she looks sort of like a Jeep.

Still has many issues. Steering is locked up solid, front fenders are not stock, hat channels are rotted out, transmission is stuck and likely full of rusty water an so on. However, the floors aren't bad, and she is fauirly complete. It is obviously going to need a total going over though. I don't think I am going to do it. I need to get focused on the CJ6 project and for some reason my wife thinks there are too many projects here already.

Okay, so the novelty is wearing off and I have decided to try to focus on the CJ6 for awhile. I will post the 3b in the classifieds for a bit and might end up parting it. I have to learn to stay off of Craigs.

I like the 3Bs too ... but you are a looong ways from me and I need another project like you do.

Hopefully someone will pick it up and make a whole Jeep from it again.

Shesh, If you were closer. I seem to have another 3B in my yard. But the PPO did some nasty work on it. Good luck.

Had a guy come by to look at it. He found things to confirm that it is really pretty rough. He also happened to have a 75 Cj5 tub that may not have the same rust issues as my CJ6 tub (passenger floor and tub supports). We have a trade deal pending. I have my fingers crossed but that is the way I like to see these things work out. He starts a new project and helps my project move forward.
