Talk me out of it. Sure, the Jeep has been done for pert near a year (well are they ever done, but it is road and trail worthy) but still have not gotten plates for various and numerous reasons.

Talk me out of letting it go. Call me an idiot, berate me, whatever it takes.

Go ahead and sell but keep in mind you won't get what you have in it. Then get on CL and you will have another pretty quick.

Well with me, I love to build and don't mind tearing down someone else's work. I hate to tear down my own work. Would rather sell and start over with fresh ideas and a new challenge.

It would be a sad day in jayhawkville if I ever had to sell mine.

I must admit I do miss mine on occasion. But not when it's 105* like it is this week. I am getting old and like my comforts.

Exactly. And for me, after 15 years and 70K miles, I just wanted a change. There is a flatty in my future.

Same here, 16 yrs and X? miles. I wanted a change from the 71 and the crappy DD truck, so went with the LJ as a dual purpose rig. It has worked out very well. Started with a moderate lift and tires, ran that for 30K miles, now doing some "tweaks" to the suspension to both tighten it up yet give more articulation.
I'm also hoping to do a flatty in my future... (looks like distant future) ;)

L&L, all I can say is, you'll know when the time has come to part ways.
    Good luck!!

I'm leaning on keeping it and still starting my next project, just making that a longer time frame.

I'm an itching to put a Willys wagon body on an LJ frame. Seeing what Jeep Skunkworks did and how JP featured that, it is a completely do-able project. I'm a real fan of old iron on newer running gear. For me that can be a all around trail driver, daily driver fully useful vehicle.

While I really like my Commander it is a comfortable vehicle to drive, its got no charisma, no wow factor. While the CJ5 is cool and all, its never gonna be a daily driver for me, that wasn't the purpose, but it'll completely fit the bill for what I built it for. I know that if I sell it, I'll have seller's remorse in 30 seconds, and I'm still carrying that torch over getting rid of my J10. Should have kept the J10, re-geared the axles and put a V8 in it and called in done.

I couldn't imagine getting rid of mine, I seriously think it's the only thing that keeps me sane some days. I just love going to the garage getting away from everything and working on it.
